Things that I'm going to talk about in this blog ...

The topic I have chosen is about the immigration from South Korea to many other countries in the world, particularly to New Zealand

NZ is one of the countries that has becoming multi-cultural because of the people moving in from all over the world

Furthermore, I'm going to talk about anything interesting that relates to Korea and New Zealand together

My reflection

What I've learnt from this e-port-folio is ...

First of all, I’d like to say that I enjoyed myself, working on this e-portfolio project during the iReflect course with the topic ‘Korean immigrations to New Zealand’ and I hope my e-portfolio could be useful or rather interesting for my audiences (especially Korean New Zealanders and other immigrants) to look at. Of course it's been really useful for myself.

The reason I’ve chosen the topic ‘Korean migrations in New Zealand’ is because, today, there are a considerable number of Korean immigrations to NZ thus I thought it might be worth having a look at it. Unlike the old times, Korean immigrations to other countries have become really common occurrences. When I first came to New Zealand which was March 2006, I was very surprised or rather disappointed because so many Koreans were living in this country already. It’s funny but I felt like I was living in another Korea. There are several reasons for Korean immigration to NZ but the main reason for them is to get better or less-pressure education in English-speaking countries such as Canada, America and New Zealand etc. That's also the reason why I'm here in NZ. The life in NZ can be stressful for me to live with because there is no family and friends around me but occasionally I think it's really good to live in a new life which many people can not experience. What I'm trying to say is that I'm one of lucky people because I get this special opportunity.

This e-portfolio can be used among anyone, particularly immigrants in NZ who are interested in such topics that I have been discussing. In my blog, we can discuss or talk about things such as negative aspects migrations could face and solutions for it and special events happening around migration people in NZ. Any interesting topic can be brought up. The only limitation, by the way, is that the audiences may not be various since it is all about migrations in NZ. While working on the e-portfolio, I've learnt quite a lot of things and aspects about New Zealand and Korea. I really hope this work has been very successful thus can be helpful for the future of my life in New Zealand.
